Trtfrika Doctors from Tanzania have started a medical camp outreach in Malawi, providing specialised services in Orthopedic, and Neurological procedures as well as treatment for burn injuries and Urological conditions.
A team of specialists from Tanzania's Banjamin Mkapa Hospital in Dodoma, in collaboration with Malawi's health authorities, will also assist with assessment for kidney and bone marrow transplants.
The doctors' services are “a significant step towards strengthening healthcare services for neighboring countries”, the hospital said in a statement.
“Together, we are advising access to excellent high-quality and specialised healthcare services that reach the people of Africa.” it added.
The first camp will be held at the Central Hospital in the city of Mzuzu from 28 September to 2 October 2026, to be followed by a second one at Kamuzu Central Hospital in Lilongwe from 5 to 9 October 2026.
